Star Wars Black Series: 1-JAC

1-JAC was a LOM-series protocol droid that worked as a bounty hunter during the reign of the Galactic Empire. In 9 BBY, 1-JAC was on the planet Daiyu when a bounty was placed on the Jedi Obi-Wan Kenobi, who 1-JAC subsequently searched for, eventually encountering him on Daiyu’s rooftops.

The protocol droid opened fire on Kenobi, but the Jedi escaped the attack. 1-JAC followed the Jedi and his companion, Princess Leia Organa, to a nearby spaceport and approached them; however, before the droid could open fire, it was shot in the back by Haja Estree, an ally of Kenobi.

Star Wars Black Series: Sergeant Kreel

Kreel, designated Agent 5241, was a human male undercover stormtrooper sergeant and SCAR trooper of the Galactic Empire, serving in the 501st Legion under the direct command of Darth Vader. He operated as the gamemaster in Grakkus the Hutt’s arena on Nar Shaddaa. He was tasked with training new candidates to fight in the arena, including Luke Skywalker. During Skywalker’s arena fight with Kongo the Disemboweler, Agent 5241 contacted the Empire to inform them that Skywalker was on Nar Shaddaa. After his mission on Nar Shaddaa was complete, Kreel was given command of an elite group of SCAR troopers, designated Task Force 99.

Star Wars Black Series: Han Solo (Mud Trooper)

While the Imperial Naval Academy of Carida primarily trained Imperial cadets as Imperial Starfighter Pilots, cadets were also issued with Swamp trooper armor and underwent training as Swamp troopers including wading through swamps, trenches and running up mountains.Imperial naval cadets deemed to be insubordinate such as Han Solo were often reassigned to infantry duty as Swamp troopers.

The swamp troopers of the 224th Imperial Armored Division fought on the swamp planet of Mimban during the Mimban Campaign, which saw the Empire battle forces of the Mimbanese Liberation Army for control of the planet and its vital resources. Solo served as a swamp trooper before deserting with the Wookiee Chewbacca to join Tobias Beckett’s gang.

Star Wars Black Series: Q9-0

Q9-0, also known as Zero or Z, was a protocol droid who worked as a mercenary during the time of the New Republic. Zero was part of a crew of mercenaries led by Ranzar Malk, consisting of Migs Mayfeld, Burg, Xi’an, and the Mandalorian bounty hunter Din Djarin, who were sent by Malk to rescue Qin, a prisoner aboard the New Republic prison ship Bothan-5.

During the mission, the team betrayed Djarin and left him behind, and Zero, who stayed aboard the bounty hunter’s gunship, Razor Crest, discovered Grogu, an infant who Djarin had previously rescued from a client of the Bounty Hunters’ Guild. Zero attempted to kill the infant, but was destroyed by Djarin, who had managed to escape.

The wreckage of Zero remained in storage aboard the Razor Crest for some time, and a passenger who Djarin was tasked with transporting later used the droid’s vocabulator to communicate with the bounty hunter while stranded on the planet Maldo Kreis.

Star Wars Black Series: Mimban Stormtrooper

The wet-weather gear stormtrooper, with those stationed on Mimban called the Mimban Stormtrooper, was a variant of the Galactic Empire’s standard stormtrooper. Some were part of the 224th Imperial Armored Division on Mimban, a mining planet located in the Expansion Region. Owing to the planet’s swampy environment, their armor was heavily customized to allow for optimal operation. Compared to standard stormtrooper armor, theirs had additional space between plates at the shoulders, hips, and knees, allowing for a greater range of movement.

Wet-weather gear stormtroopers were armed with E-11 medium blaster rifles, and some were equipped or customized their armor with bandoliers. They wore waterproof capes, known as slicks which were necessary for wading through the swamplands of Mimban during the Mimban Campaign waged by the Galactic Empire roughly ten years before the Battle of Yavin.
