Creating a Magazine Cover in Cinema4D

During our time a NEIT, we were assigned a project to create a magazine cover within Cinema4D. We were allowed to choose an existing magazine company, there I chose Popular Science. The goal was to create a 3D object or objects that couldn’t necessarily be created in the real world. I researched topics that aligned with Popular Science’s motif, and came across a breakthrough technology. British researchers and scientists came up with a more eco friendly alternative to concrete.

The 3D Call to Action for Environmentalism

For each metric ton of concrete, around 1,400 pounds of CO2 are emitted into the atmosphere. Although concrete and cement do not account for the majority of CO2 emissions, they are still a large contributor and emitting more every day that passes. In 2021, Greenbloc, a low to zero emission concrete alternative was launched in the UK. The producers of Greenbloc claimed that their product would reduce emissions from concrete alone by 73%.
